Details are as follows: Date: 9 Sep 2007 (Sun) Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Venue: T.S.T Star Ferry Pier 9 Dec 2007 International Human Rights Day (10 Dec) – “Say No to Human Rights Violation”A number of non-governmental organisations organise joint activities on the International Human Rights Day (10 Dec) every year, aiming to arouse people’s concern on human rights issues in Hong Kong, China and other countries in the world. This year, Human Rights Day event include exhibition to raise aware of the rapid erosion of human rights that we witness in the force eviction; the lack of regulation of police power of arrest and the oppression of sex workers; the inadequacy of the drafted race bill and the lack of initiative of drafting a sexual orientation bill to eliminate discrimination; the lack of transparency of the use of Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance; the lack of retribution to violation of land rights and the general oppression of rights in China; and the recent gross human rights violation in Myanmar. The Event also includes the expression to the families of victims of June 4th Incident.
