31 July 2007 Farewell to Billy

Billy resigned in the summer after long and much appreciated service. Billy had been with AFRO for 10 years. We wish her every success in her future endeavours.

Community Education Programme -- “Understanding the Society, Advocate for Human Rights” (July – Dec 2007)

In April 2007, we were informed by Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education that our grant application for the community integration programme “Understanding Society, Advocate for human rights” had been approved. The programme was planned to start in July 2007. Together with the participants, we would explore the concept of human rights, and together identify and understand the human rights issues that sex workers had to tackle. In the end of the project, we would work together with sex workers on some public activities on human rights education.
